Hello and Happy New Year,
We hope you, your family and friends are safe and coping with all the challenges of the increasing Covid-19 cases we are seeing across the country.
As a business operating in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, we have adapted quickly (and frequently) and learnt a great deal over the last two years – rapidly adopting new technologies, and in the process, enhancing our business practices.
We'd like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank our team who have worked tremendously hard, demonstrating unwavering commitment, passion and resilience in very difficult circumstances.
We'd also like to thank you – our customers. The overwhelming customer feedback we have received is a testament to our strong family values and culture instilled by our owners, evident in even the most trying of circumstances across our industry and in our history.
With increasing Covid cases in the community, I wanted to let you know that we are implementing some changes across our business, using our experiences over the past 2 years to ensure we continue to serve you – and get you into your new home as safe and quickly as we can.
Design Studio Browsing
We will be temporarily halting the browsing of our design studio as we move through this current wave of growing case numbers. We will continue to monitor numbers and Government advice and keep you updated when this will be re-instated. Check in with our Instagram account (@plantation_homes) to see lots of studio and display home inspiration!
Tender and Contract signing appointments
Both tender and contract signing appointments will proceed virtually. Once again, we are buoyed by the overwhelming customer feedback across the country of this new way of signing tenders and contracts saving everyone valuable time to keep things moving. It’s so popular and convenient, we believe this process will remain as an option post-Covid.
Construction industry status
With excellent planning and industry collaboration, the construction industry has largely remained open and there is no change expected here as we continue to work with our team of subbies and suppliers. We'd like to thank our team for their ongoing commitment to health and safety and their dedication to keep working to get you into your new home – quickly, safely and without compromising our highest quality standards.
Maintenance checks
Following Government guidelines and our COVIDSafe plan there is no change and our team will continue work to scheduled maintenance inspections.

In the event of an after-hours emergency or for urgent queries, please contact our Home Emergency Service hotline on 07 3290 8888 and follow the prompts accordingly.
Ongoing COVIDSafe Plans
Before we can welcome you inside our offices and displays (with the widest of physically distanced arms), there are a few important things we need to do. As per Government regulations and to keep everyone safe and healthy, you will need to check in and follow the below requirements:
- Wear a Mask indoors and where social distancing is not possible outdoors
- Scan our 1Breadcrumb QR Code to complete a health declaration
- Scan the Check In QLD QR Code as per Government regulations
- Maintain physical distancing and density quotas as instructed

With the announcement of an extended 5-day lockdown, our display centres and design studio will remain closed and at this stage are planned t re-open next Monday 8 August.
If you had a face-to-face appointment scheduled, our team will be in contact with you shortly to discuss conducting this appointment virtually. Our team are fully operational and committed to ensuring this process is as seamless as possible so you can feel at ease knowing that you are in good heads.
Our virtual design studio is just a click away where you can immerse yourself in all things design. We also encourage you to visit and take a virtual tour of our homes online, it almost feels like you are actually inside the house.

Following the Government announcement this morning of a snap lockdown, our display homes are now closed.
Our New Home Consultants are fully operational online and our teams remain available to meet with you virtually. You can also visit and take a tour of our homes online.
Our design studio and head office will also be closed. If you have a colours appointment booked that is impacted, our team will be in touch to make alternate arrangements. All electrical, tender and contract signing appointments will continue as planned, virtually.
We welcome you to visit our online virtual design studio, where you can take a tour and be inspired by our interior designers.

7 JULY 2021
We're back open!
As per State Government guidelines, all visitors to a Plantation Homes premise must adhere to physical distancing guidelines and wear a face mask (unless they have an exemption) - and the same rules apply to our team.
The Government has also mandated that from Friday, 9 July each visitor must register via the Check In QLD app on arrival.
In line with our COVID Business Safe plan, the Government requires us to collect certain health information from each visitor. This is a proactive approach to ensure the health and safety of all visitors as well as our team. We are fulfilling this obligation via a different app called ‘1Breadcrumb’ which you can easily scan on entry.
To make the best use of your time, we recommend contacting your preferred display centre to make an appointment.
Our design showroom is also open for general browsing and colour appointments. If you have a scheduled appointment our team will be in touch to confirm details and the same check-in rules as our display centres apply to our design showroom.
Our teams will be also complying with density space requirements and we thank you for your patience as we manage traffic flow in and out of our offices.

2 JULY 2021
Today the QLD Government has announced a further 24-hour lockdown for Brisbane and Moreton Bay.
The following opening hours will apply for our display centres.
CLOSED on Saturday 3 July 2021. Reopening 10am Sunday 4 July.

29 JUNE 2021
Today the QLD Government has announced a 3-day lockdown for South East Queensland including Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Moreton Bay, Redlands, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Gold Coast commencing at 6pm tonight.
In line with this announcement, all of our display centres will be closed from Wednesday 30 June to Friday 2 July and are planned to re-open 10am Saturday 3 July. Your New Home Consultant remains available to speak with you via telephone or video call.
Our design studio and head office will also be closed during this period with all electrical, tender and contract signing appointments continuing as virtual appointments.
Colour selection appointments during this period will be rescheduled, as will inspiration sessions on Saturday 3 July. If you have a scheduled colour selection or inspiration session appointment, we will be in touch to reschedule.
Thankfully, the residential building industry is allowed to continue operating at building sites so the construction of homes will continue during this period.

SAFETY IS OUR NO.1 PRIORITY
As always, safety remains our number one priority. In the interest of all Queenslanders, we are unable to see you after this lockdown if you:
- Display any flu like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath and/or breathing difficulties
- Have been exposed to a person who has tested positive to COVID-19 or awaiting results
- Have had a test for COVID-19 with a positive result or awaiting results
- Returned from overseas within the last 14 days
- Are in quarantine as per government requirements
WE CONTINUE TO BUILD
On the advice of our peak industry body, the Housing Industry Association (HIA), we are enforcing stringent new guidelines on our construction sites to ensure everyone remains safe and that we can continue to progress construction as expected. You can view these guidelines further below.
