Over $6 million raised from the 9 homes donated over 14 years!
There is nothing more heartbreaking than hearing about children in hospital, and there’s nothing more uplifting than knowing at Plantation Homes, we have made a difference to the lives of ill and premature children and their families.
Research is the most important tool that we have to be able to fight against some of the major challenges facing healthcare today and at the Mater Hospital, research is helping to change these healthcare outcomes. The House for Life Project, initiated by Plantation Homes, contributes to funding knowledge and expertise that assists more than 2,000 sick babies that are cared for at the Mater each year.
The House for Life Project is an inspiring initiative between the Mater Foundation and Plantation Homes, whereby a Plantation home is built and auctioned, with all proceeds from the sale of the home then donated to the Mater Foundation to support Mater Little Miracles. What makes this project so incredibly special is the team of trades and suppliers from the Plantation Homes family, who come together each year to donate their time and resources to build this home, thus maximising the financial outcome on auction day.
In 2022, the House for Life house sold for an impressive $1,489,000 in the premium estate of The Surrounds in Helensvale. We were thrilled to be able to make another amazing contribution to the Mater Foundation to contribute to the Mater Little Miracles.
Thank you again to the trades, suppliers, industry partners and our team for making this project a reality and to the community for embracing the opportunity to be part of something so special.
