Our recruitment process

We build careers at Plantation Homes and so we ensure that we find the right people for the role. The recruitment process has been designed so that we continue to build our team with passionate and success driven people.

Voicing the role

We like to know a little more about you than a tick-in-the-box form can gather. Our recruitment process is individually designed for each role to assess the suitability of every application that we receive. That means you can be confident that your skills, experience and education are applied and valued accordingly.

Virtual introduction

The first step in the recruitment process is your online application. To make it easy for you, there are only a few simple questions you need to answer, before attaching your resume to apply. Given we read each application to assess for the suitability of the role advertised, we encourage you to demonstrate specifically how you would be the best applicant. We will always reply via email to let you know we have received your application and notify suitable candidates of successful progression.

Valuable face time

At Plantation Homes, people are valued, trusted, invested in and appreciated, so we will have one or two personal interviews to make sure we are the right fit for you and that you’re the right fit for us. We conduct behavioural based interviews as it allows us to determine how a candidate will perform their duties based on their prior behaviour in the workplace.

With behavioural questions you will need to structure your responses by specifically describing:

  • The situation
  • What action you undertook
  • The result of your action
  • This is as opposed to talking generally about what you typically do in a given situation.
  • There will also be job specific questions.

Ability and psychometric testing

Some roles may require you to participate in further testing to ensure you are the best fit for the role.

Each of your references may be contacted for further consideration of your application. Ensure that you put your best contacts forward.
