Hear from the Stahl's

The smoothest of builds for the Stahl family

The great Australian dream of building a home was firmly in the Stahl family’s sights, and with Plantation Homes, they turned their aspirations into a spectacular reality.

For the Stahl family, Rob, Danielle and their three children, Caleb, 12, Madison, 10 and Ella, 4, the six-month building experience was as seamless as it was joyful. They had a pragmatic and common-sense approach throughout the whole process and, the end result, was the stunning Sahara Belle, located in the north side of Brisbane they now call home.

The Stahls share their thoughts on their Sahara story with Plantation Homes and how imperative it is to maintain trust and have realistic expectations with the entire planning and building process.

There is never a case of too much information

“For Danielle and I, the best way for us to decide which design we were going for was to check out the Plantation Home display village and examine for ourselves the workmanship, features and fixtures.  Once we walked through the Sahara, we knew it was THE house for us.”, Rob said.

Rob encourages others to do their research and read reviews from customers, positive or constructive, which can give them an indication, to an extent, on what they may be in for when they decide to build a house.  However, it all needs to be taken with a grain of salt.  “There will always be people who have challenges during their build, but the important thing for me is that my builder was accountable throughout the entire process.   That is what counts at the end of the day and that is what we experienced with Plantation Homes.”

Premium service counts

“For me, I was drawn to Plantation Homes because of their high workmanship and quality of product.  The administration side of things felt longer than expected because my wife and I were super excited to get the building side underway.  However, what we know now, it is through the thorough organisation at the back end which made the six-month build with Plantation Homes so seamless and efficient.

From day one, Rob and Danielle found the relationship with their Construction Supervisor positive and transparent, which was refreshing.  “He was approachable, friendly and proactive in ensuring the build went along as planned.”

Sahara Oasis

For the Stahls, the Sahara was the ideal design and layout for their family.  Boasting five living areas and four spacious bedrooms, the Sahara perfectly fits the busiest of families and lifestyles.

“The beauty of the Sahara is that it has areas such as the outdoor alfresco and combined living, dining and kitchen area to bring all family members together and it features break out areas such as the theatre room and upstairs leisure to give family members privacy and solace.”

“The heart of our new home is certainly the kitchen and all the action happens there.  Since we have moved in, we have done lots of entertaining and we have found the grand island Caesarstone benchtop has been the epicenter of our dinner parties.

Rob sings the accolades of the Plantation Homes interior design team who transformed the Stahl’s vision and wish list into reality.  “To be able to share our thoughts and ideas with the interior design team and come out at the other end with a stunning result, is a testament to the team in the way they listen and deliver.”

Emily Stokes, Plantation Homes, Interior Design Stylist said, “I am so thrilled with how the Stahl family home has come to life. It was really a blank canvas, with lots of white and neutral colours schemes throughout. Danielle has done a wonderful job in making their house a real home, with her incredible flair for interior styling. It was a pleasure to collaborate with them to bring their home vision to life”.
