Global design trends are shaping what is next in tiles, and our partners at Australia’s biggest tile, stone, and bathroomware retailer, Beaumont Tiles, have recently revealed the latest trending products.
Finding the perfect tiles can elevate your bathroom, kitchen, and laundry spaces to the next level. So it pays to know what is on trend to ensure your home is stylish now and into the future.
A natural look
With an ability to bring the outside in, natural-look tiles are heavily in demand. Choose from finishes such as stone or timber to bring a warm and textured feel into any living space.

Terrazzo tiles are really making a resurgence. Made using a combination of stone, cement or resin, terrazzo is hugely popular for its organic look. Stone tiles such as Marwari limestone are featuring heavily in bathrooms, helping to strike the right notes of tranquility and restfulness.
Since these tiles follow a natural pattern, every tile looks unique. This means they conceal dust and dirt, making them an ideal low-maintenance option for high-traffic areas.

Marble still in its stride
Not only has it long been a show of wealth and style, but marble has a look and texture that matches with just about anything. In step with the current penchant of natural-look tiles, marble continues to play a big role in what is hot in kitchens and bathrooms.
With its classic white base and grey veining, the most popular marble around the world is Carrara Marble.
Ms Gaffney added “Marble has been a design staple in homes for many years and is renowned for its beauty however it is notoriously expensive and as a material tends to be quite abrasive. We are seeing more and more people substitute real marble with more economical options such as Caesarstone’s Statuario Nuvo for benchtops and marble-look tiles. This is proving to be an even more viable material choice that gives you the same timeless elegance, without the expense and maintenance issues of real marble.”

Strength in slab tiles
Large format slab tiles are ideal for floors and walls. They bring a streamlined finish to surfaces and provide a strength that will endure for years.
Pastel perfection
From catwalks to interiors, pastels are back in a big way. Sugary and soft, the ice-cream tones of blue and pink can bring flavour to a stark, white space.
Decorate your space
Decorative tiles can gently break up a block colour of white and black. With everything blue trending, opt for Beaumont’s patterns in Royal Doulton blue, teal and grey, or beige and navy.
Industrial look stays strong
The benefit of going for the industrial look is you can amp it up or play it down. Metal coloured tiles in rust and copper come in mosaics and even three-dimensional shapes. They can be used as accents or bolder features such as splashbacks.
