2022 House For Life Auction

The atmosphere was charged with anticipation ahead of the no-reserve House for Life auction on the weekend at Helensvale, with the gavel coming down on the winning bid - a record breaking $1,489,000.

Everyone agreed – the house, our Majestic 45 was absolutely stunning and worthy of the bid battle! Located in The Surrounds, Helensvale, the home has four spacious bedrooms, three bathrooms, two powder rooms, an expansive living and dining area, a double garage, luxurious furnishings and a pool.

A wonderous crowd for a wonderful cause

13 registered bidders raised their paddles or phoned in, knowing all proceeds go directly towards supporting around 2,000 of Queensland’s tiniest patients, cared for in the Mater Mothers’ Neonatal Critical Care Unit each year.

Congratulations to the auction winners; a family from Hervey Bay, who placed the record-breaking bid via phone...with plans to be in by Christmas!  Due to their busy work schedules the couple, who are doctors themselves, couldn’t attend the auction in person as they were busy at work.

Amongst the crowd was AFL star Jed Adcock who, together with his wife, avidly campaigned for this auction. As parents of two premature babies, they had first-hand experience with the Mater Little Miracles program’s work. Voicing their support and advocacy not only helped draw attention to a great cause but also allowed them to give something back to the hospital.

"Knowing the money from this auction will go towards supporting tiny and vulnerable babies is very meaningful to us," Ms Ward said.

"Jed and I are committed to giving back to the hospital that saved our boys' lives and want as many people as possible to bid on this stunning Gold Coast home!"
